What is steel bearing? How about its performance?

Bearing steel is the raw material for making traditional bearings. According to the raw materials, bearings can be divided into bearing steel bearings, stainless steel plate bearings, and some aluminum alloy profile bearings that are less used. Bearing steel has very strict composition regulations, so the organic chemical characteristics of bearing steel bearings are very stable, and there will be no great difference in mass production. Today, I'd like to introduce to you what bearings are called steel bearings and other performances! Bearing

1、 What is bearing steel bearing

In short, the steel used for bearings is called bearing steel. Bearing steel is also known as high carbon manganese steel. The carbon content WC is about 1% and the magnesium content WCR is 0.5% - 1.65%. The bearing steel is divided into six types: high carbon chromium bearing steel, chromium free bearing steel, nitrided bearing steel, stainless steel bearing steel, medium and high temperature bearing steel and diamagnetic bearing steel.

Bearing steel is used to produce steel balls, vortex rods and bearing throwing rings. Bearing steel has high uniform hardness, wear resistance and high elastic limit. Bearing steel is one of the most stringent steel grades in the production and manufacturing of all steels, with strict regulations on the composition uniformity, the composition and distribution of non-metallic materials and impurities, and the distribution of cementite.

2、 Performance specification of bearing steel

In order to meet the above provisions on the bearing capacity of moving bearings, the following basic performance provisions are clearly put forward for the raw materials of bearing steel:

1. High touch fatigue limit;

2. After heat treatment process, it shall have high hardness or reach the hardness specified for bearing application performance;

3. High wear resistance and low friction resistance;

4. High ductility limit;

5. Excellent fracture toughness and impact toughness;

6. Excellent specification reliability;

7. Excellent antirust treatment performance;

8. Excellent cold and heat treatment performance.
